U8 Tournament at Newlands - 14th September 2019

A balmy September morning saw the first of the new season's U8 tournaments at Newlands.   There was some brilliant football played at times, with some of the best football we have ever seen from the little Phantoms.  The club is incredibly proud of all our U8s for the commitment and drive shown, with everyone giving 100%, listening to the coaches and enjoying their football with smiles on their faces.  A big thank you to you too to all the parents  - you do the Phantoms Family proud with your incredible support regardless of score.  #WeOnlyDoPositive, #LetThemPLay

2019 Awards - 15 June 2019

Another season drew to a close with our annual Awards Day.  The weather was, well the weather, but a good time was had by all, with pork rolls, cakes and hot dogs eaten, and a few trophies and awards despatched!

It's been a hugely successful season, welcoming many new boys and girls to the Phantoms Family with two teams from Oakwood joining us, the girls growing in numbers on a monthly basis, an under 9's/10's Training group and the new Under 5's joining us at Easter.  This means we have over 400 registered players on the books and over 90 coaches.  To all of you, thanks for turning up with enthusiasm and commitment each week and for the support of your parents and carers who stand on the touchlines, often in the wind and rain.  Huge thanks, especially all of the coaches whom we would be nothing without.

It is also sad to be saying goodbye to a number of players and coaches this year who have been fantastic servants to the Club.  In particular, it was an emotional farewell to the U16 who were the Prestbury Phantoms trail blazers, and to John Fullwood, who is an U16 coaching legend, Steve McQuitty, the most organised coach in the short history of the club, John Kinsella who has been fundamental in the development of the girls team and James Turley who has been with the Puma's since they started.

Thanks to you all - Once a Phantom Always a Phantom so we look forward to welcoming you back when you can!

A final thanks to the Committee for all your hard work and dedication.

For most teams training will end now for the summer - some are planning to keep training and they will keep you updated direct with their plans.

Training will start up again either on Sat 31st August or Sat 7th Sept - we will confirm details nearer the time.

Happy Summer Everyone!

U5 Academy

On the 31st March, we welcomed our new U5 Academy and U9/U10 training group to Pittville. The weather was exceptionally kind to us, and it was great to see over 40 new faces enjoying their football. Huge thanks to all new and existing coaches who have stepped up to run the groups.
